The maMoS stationary gas monitor can be programmed over a PC to operate in various modes, which allows its use in a wide variety of applications. These changes can be easily carried out by the user with a standard PC and the software supplied with the instrument.
There are two basic forms of measuring cycle that can be set by the user:
Continuous measurement automatic and repeating measurement cycles. These consist of a sequence of ventilation with fresh air, measurement and then pause. This pause consists of five minutes of ventilation with fresh air, followed by a wait-state with the pump switched off.
The time intervals can be set by the user as follows:
- Measuring time: 15 min to 4 hours in 1 minute steps
- Ventilation time: 5, 10 or 15 minutes
- Total cycle time: 15 min to 24 hours
Measurement according to timetable measurement cycles spread over the day, consisting of ventilation and measurement periods. Between measurements the instrument will be in a standby mode, after an automatic 5 minute ventilation of the sensors with fresh air. The pump is then switched off until the next active phase. Up to 24 separate and different measurement cycles can be programmed in a 24 hour period.
The time intervals can be set by the user as follows:
-
- Measuring time: 15 min to 4 hours in 1 minute steps
- Ventilation time: 5, 10 or 15 minutes
When the gas monitor is switched on, it will automatically begin a warm-up phase. The Peltier dryer will achieve operating temperature in this time and the infrared gas sensors will reach a stable temperature. The warm-up time can be set by the user between 1 minute and 4 hours in 1 minute steps. A working warm-up time should be in excess of 10 minutes.
Factory settings - unless otherwise stated when ordering, the gas monitor will be delivered with the following settings:
- Warm-up time: 15 minutes
- Continuous measurement
- Measuring time: 50 minutes
- Ventilation time: 10 minutes
- Total cycle time: 60 minutes
